Waiora & Twitter

imagesI have been asked by many people over the years, where to start marketing online. The answer has changed, but the principals haven’t. I always advise to start with FREE list building principals. Social media is perfect for that.

My first choice would be Twitter. It is extremely easy to set-up and very user friendly. The whole point of Social Media is to connect with people and to build relationships with those people. As an Internet Marketer your goal is to extract sales or commissions from those relationships. That sounded kind of harsh, but thats the truth.

I bet you know some people that have a huge following, but don’t make any real money with it? I know someone who has over 70,000 followers on Twitter and can’t make a dime. Until now. What I’m going to teach you today is a process of making sure your followers are custom to what your offering or teaching.

There is a FREE way to do this effectively. It is the way I used to add Custom Followers to my Twitter accounts. I don’t use it now, because I use a tool to automate this process for me, saving me time, but is a great place to start if you are looking to add custom followers. If you want more information on how to add Custom followers on autopilot check out my recommendations category.

The FREE way is to go to www.twellow.com, this is the Twitter Yellow pages. On the top there is a search bar. That is where you will want to type in a keyword. For example, if you are a Internet Marketer you may type in the words “Internet Marketing”. There will upload all the profiles that have the words “Internet Marketing” in their profile. Choose the top person to start with and follow that person. Then go into their followers and start following them. It is relatively safe to assume that those people that are following that person are interested in what they have to say and are in that Field.

Most of the time, people just follow some random person and add all their followers. The problem is those are just that, random. You at the very least, increase your odds when you follow people who are following people in the same field you are in. You would share the same interests and a relationship has at least one thing to grow on.

No matter which way you add followers, be sure to make them custom followers. Not doing that would be like going to a Chinese Restaurant to order a Hamburger. It just doesn’t make sense. Don’t do it, it’s a waste of time.
